Shearing the Rams (1890) by celebrated Australian Impressionist painter Tom Roberts places the viewer inside a busy shearing shed filled with workers, sheep and filtered rural light. The strong perspective and sense of activity make it a vivid image of Australian working life. The original is held by the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne.
